What are the keys to a successful marriage? Are you in a marriage that you feel is failing? Do you think that you have made a mistake in marrying your partner? In this article I am going to be writing about what makes a happy marriage, I hope the article is of benefit to its readers.

Let's face it; sustaining a happy marriage over the longer term is not easy. People change, people make mistakes, people grow old, the passion dwindles out and children appear. These are aspects that many people see as a negative, they should however be seen in a positive light.

We all change and that has to be a good thing, we are developing and becoming more educated with age.

We all make mistakes; that is just life. It is ensuring that we learn from them which is the important thing.

Of course we all become older, we should however be grateful that we are in a relationship and not having to grow old on our own as this can be very lonely and quite scary.

Over time in any relationship the passion will dwindle. This passion can however be turned into romance. Taking your partner to Venice, Rome or Paris is likely to re-ignite that passion from time to time; it just takes a bit of imagination and thought.

In the majority of marriages there are likely to be children born out of the union. This without doubt is a joy to behold and should make the relationship stronger.

In any relationship the most important aspect is the ability to forgive. We all make mistakes, some are bigger than others but it takes a strong person to forgive. Good luck with your marriage.
